A New Business Venture!

Helen,

I think you starting a little cottage industry is great news. As you may know I have done a website for Brendan Powell and for Phoenix Reach, and the hosting costs (for a year) are incredibly cheap. If you want minimum outlay, just to see if you have a viable venture this may be a great place to start. A few photos and some text is all you really need. Then, when you do your advertising, all you really need is to give state the URL.

There is some great business advice on here, but as it is such a small concern (at the moment) I would suggest just building the website, checking all the regulations, and start advertising locally. I would suggest on a vets notice board or in any of the many dog magazines for starters and maybe in your local paper.

Keep a record of all your transactions. Perhaps if you decide on a name for your little company, and then open a bank account in this name may be useful. Obviously, keep all your receipts etc.

I think it's a great idea, and I wish you lots of luck with it! Barney would love to try your products, although I have to warn you he is a fussy eater! :)

Barney and Songsheet's Molly are incredibly photogenic - I bet they'd LOVE to pose for the web, smiling with the special bikkies at their feet!

OK, here goes Helen.

Picture one. I have told Barney he is going to be given a nice wholesome biscuit made by Helen's fair hands. :)

Picture two. Barney, starts to eat the biscuit which is clevely shaped as a piece of wood!

Picture three. Oh dear. Minutes later, Barney gives his opinion and decides that he would prefers a Bonio.

He is definitely a dog with a wind problem, Krizon. Perhaps, Helen's new wholesome biscuits could help alleviate that particular problem found in some dogs.

The problem isn't so much when it's found IN them, Kathy, it's when it escapes OUT of them, in a blue and green miasma which lies heavy in the room for ages - they usually plan one just as you're about to entertain someone interesting, too. :brows:

I remember a friend of mine suddenly yelling and exiting his car at great speed. The slow-release killer fart his dog had laid had just caught up with him, and he was incapable of driving until the car had been fully ventilated! The dog, of course, looked well pleased with himself. :)

Yes, there are quite a few anti-phosphorous herbs which will help Barney's blow-offs. I expect Aldaniti will manufacture you a customized species for the fragrant one!
