You're a young undergraduate and you might, or might not, be going out for a drink with an outgoing girl who was confident enough to grab you on the dancefloor?

Hardly a crisis conundrum, is it?

The best sort of women, IMO are those uncomplicated, outgoing, sorts who soon let you know where you stand, rather than mess you about.

Assume she's like that (if she isn't she's not worth bothering with anyway) - if she contacts you and you end up going out, she'll soon let you know if she's ''interested,'' if she isn't you'll soon know that too.

If she's one of those ''can't make her own mind up and give you a clear message types'' she's not worth the half a lager and bag of crisps, anyway, so write her off as a speculative bet which didn't act on the going. :lol:

Just sit back and enjoy the ride, so to speak. :lol:
 
Heya all, im a bit drunk my mate has just got back i didnt want to make a fool of myself but i did.
Something bad happened in my life about 3 years ago which has made me incredibly self-concious i wish i wasnt like tha but i am.
There are only a few things that make me feel better and im plzed peple carte enough to post about my love life.,

A lot boils down to self respect and dignity. While you still retain an element of self respect and dignity you will get nowhere.

At a dance, always try and pull the ugliest girl on the floor (gorph-snatching was the term we used to use - not sure why). They will be so flattered by the attention they will provide hours, if not, days of fun. Never be afraid of refusals, never be afraid to beg, never be afraid to play the "pity" card.

Although self-respect and dignity will disappear, confidence will rise, which increases the possibility of success, when you eventually get around to asking someone out, who you are generally interested in.

I got an incredibly long philosophical conversation a bottle of wine from the Indian restaurant and erm my friends got chased by a knife wielding (sp?) Mexican saying "where you from?" it wasn't funny at the time but it is now.
I think the best thing really is to stop drinking and stuff and erm maybe i'll be able to forget the past and concentrate on the future.

You were lucky to avoid that Dom - sources from FF report that Latey was planning to bring as his swinging partner Norma Macauley

Yeah it wasn't a bad night until erm we were going to go to Gatecrasher (last night that is) and it did get better going home. Still think i embarassed myself in a bad way in front of me mates and my mates sister.
Yeah i'll txt her after there Freshers Week to see how she's doing and stuff and if she doesn't txt back then its no big deal.

I had a friend called Leo at University who operated on the principle that if you ask ten girls to sleep with you on a night out, only nine will punch you in the face. It worked for him too!!

Life goes like this, Martin: your parents embarrass you in front of your mates; you embarrass yourself in front of your mates; your mates embarrass you in front of your girlfriend; your girlfriend embarrasses herself in front of your parents; you embarrass yourself in front of her parents; then you get married, and embarrass your kids; your kids embarrass you; you get really old and embarrass yourself in front of your nurses. Then you die, and life's little embarrassments mean nothing at all. ;)

So just get on with it, and enjoy it! :D
 
Sounds good to me Krizon, not too keen on embarassing myself all that regularly but i suppose it will happen sooner or later. Not done it since last thursday (embarass myself that is) but have an exam tommorow daytime so resisted the temptation to go out tonight.
Going out tommorow though and organising a bar crawl in Sheffield for next month - should be fun with drinking games, bearing in mind erm i hate talking in front of large groups of people and am shy. Oh well should be interesting to say the least.

Tell you what Martin - why dont we all come...... then we can show you up, and anything you do will pale into insignificance - Me, Jon and Julie ( am assuming sthe other half of Shadudi will have gone back by next week, but her too if not !! ) can rattle off some mean table / lap / pole dancing - ( reinforced ones of course!! ) to ensure you dont look anywhere near as daft as you think you are going to........ and we acn drag some of the blokes along - Ardross will have to pay, cos Brians away, and Shad will ring PDJ, he can bring otherbruv, we can get loads of us!!!!!

Thinking about embarrassments: many years and tons of weight ago, I thought I'd provide a little more interest for a romantic evening with my then Man o' the Moment. I put on a tasty dinner to cook slowly, got the ice cubes ready for the drinks, and when I opened the door to my lurved one, I was clad in skimpy black undies, and what I thought was a sexy black leather jacket.

He stood stock still for a few moments in the hallway, closed his eyes ecstatically, and breathed, "Heyyyyyyyy.... that smells good. What is it?" :confused:
 
Yeah everyone is invited (as long as you don't mind getting wrecked although i'm sure you'll all put me to shame) as well as the rest of the tennis society (erm, not exactly renowned for being the last of the big drinkers).
As for pole/lap dancing we hadn't planned on going to Spearmint Rhino but i'm open to suggestions.
