Advice on Analyzing Horse Racing Form Guides for Beginners

That tells me little about whether or not a horse is trying Reet tbh. Maybe you were taking the pee, i don't know anymore nowadays tbh

I know people who have owned horses in the last 30 years, mainly in syndicates fair enough, and the trainer, apparently shrewd, basically tells them to back it every time it runs to a varying degree, just in case it does. Nothing worse than a horse winning at 25/1 and you just told the owners it won't win that day.

Does anyone who has owned a horse on here actually have a trainer say to them, "it won't win today I have made sure it doesn't"???????????

I would welcome replies to that very question
A friend of a friend has a horse in training with JPOB -twice last year he was told himself and the wife should come to The Curragh dressed to the nines. Both times the horse shortened in the morning and drifted on the show before being beaten out of sight.

Had a 1/10th share in a horse that was nigh useless.
Eventualy won a Southwell seller at 33/1 - just one of our group had a fiver ew on it. Doh!

My old boss had a share in a horse who was related to an Arc winner and another Group 1 winner. After a few educational runs it ran an excellent second in a really good novice hurdle when fancied.Ten days later it was beaten as a short priced favourite at Tramore on bottomless ground.More disappointments followed and the syndicate became increasingly disillusioned. Then it went and won a conditions hurdle at the Punchestown festival at 33/1.One of the syndicate members had €20 on it.
The Boys chartered a helicopter one day to watch it race at one of the northern tracks. The horse was a bargain but the money the syndicate spent following the horse around Ireland was incredible.
