Love the way the stripes can always be seen at Aintree in the grass
 
Schoolboy stuff by me. Pointed out 2.4/5 probably Supasundaes optimum trip on here in the stayers thread, this race was brought up. Did I back him? Did I bollocks.
 
Yes agree. I thought he looked reluctant to go out on second circuit and relieved to see Ruby draw stumps.

Oh join the club only i decided to go the forecast route with Buveur but didn't do a reverse as I usually do. Duh!

If a total amateur like me can check the weather forecasts 10 days out and 7 days out and see that they're saying it's going to rain, why can't a clerk of the course do the same and draw the same conclusion. There was never any need to water the course in the first place. At worst, he could have waited till four or five days out and watered very selectively then but artificially softened ground isn't fair to anyone.

It's spoiling the racing so far.
 
I think they are ultra paranoid about this meeting due to the high publicity it gets but yes I do agree. But then I never had a great relationship with Clerks of the Course! Blasted a few in my time when training! :whistle:
 
I’m a bit miffed Itchy Feet ran in this race. Bled from the nose and still finished third in the supreme not 3 weeks ago. Surely give the horse longer time to recover, but that may be an uneducated view of the entry.

Quite like him for next years Arkleif they don’t go and ruin him beforehand.
