Its all a bit haphazard TBH, they need to get back on track instead of complicating things or we might not see season 4

Some early casualties

Dirty Sexy Money, Pushing Daisy's and Eli Stone have all had production cancelled, and episode 13 will be the last for all three series.

DSM and ES will have time to tie things up though as I believe episodes 12 and 13 haven't been filmed yet, but PD episode 13 apparently ends on a cliffhanger!

I'm really enjoying Chuck (gets better each week), The Big Bang Theory (by far the funniest program i've seen for years), Rush, The Border, Life too at the moment.

Just watched the very last episode of The Shield, a double length stunner. I have watched every episode and have always looked forward to the next. Its definitely a series you can either love or hate. I happen to love its pace, the quality of the acting and how it gets one to empathise with a totally corrupt indivdual.
There were 2 series of the Wire that I rate as superior to any thing else I have seen on television but after consideration I feel that, overall, The Shield, is the best TV cop series ever.

Finished season 7 last night. I agree with you on The Wire, it was certainly a higher quality show. But The Shield was more addictive and you felt more empathy with the characters. Certainly Lem`s death in Season 5 hit me harder than anything i`d ever or will ever see on tv.

It`s a shame that the show has never had the recognition it deserves. Walt Goggins in particular deserves an Emmy for his performance in the final season.

Anybody watched the American version of The Office?

Absolutely hysterical - far far funnier than the British version IMO. Last week's episode was pure genius.

The guy responsible for The Wire, David Simons, is behind Generation Kill, a hit series in the US about a group of soldiers in Iraq. Soon to be aired on FX. Whilst it isnt The Wire I found it pretty good, enough to watch every episode.

Agreed. Bought the first three series this week on DVD. Pure class.

After the first series, it evolved into its own show.

Sorry an. I found out on a forum as well. We should have a spoiler warning really.

Still well worth watching though. Season 5 is the show`s highpoint.

I borrowed the first series of Dexter and watched it within a week and have now started on the second. I'm enjoying it so far and it's certainly a bit different.

Second series of Damages starts 15th Feb. Highly recommended after watching first series twice!

Can't tell you or I'll have to shoot you! So many twists and turns if you blinked once you got confused! Still plenty of loose ends hence the second series.

What series of The Office are you watching, trackside?

It's treated appallingly here. The last series was shown the wrong side of midnight, after hours of reality rubbish.

Thank you for the link. I've got a fair bit of catching up to do but I'll look forward to it!

On BBC from tomorrow - The Wire
Despite what I consider often wooden acting by the lead character, the Wire is an amazing series that gives a true to life insight into modern America and to what also happens here to a lesser extent. It could be said that all human weaknesses are portrayed here but if one makes an effort it is really worthwhile.

There is meandering and even some ox-bow lakes in the story but it critically covers many important issues and becomes rivetting as it evolves. Some superb acting by largely unknowns may even lead to 'supporting' some very flawed characters.

I'm watching Damages but didn't realise when this series started that it was the second one. I haven't got a clue what's going on, but it's very compelling with a great cast.
