I am not touching the 19:30 hrs - now 2 horse - race.

That was one hell of a battle thanks to the 4 back to back winners :(

At least it was not a losing day.

Thread of the year contender
I am unconvinced, but thanks for the compliment.

That was a battle today. I found it quite hard posting just ahead of the races and then keeping up with the results.
I could post a list in advance. However, I would caveat that I sometimes drop potential lays from the list when other horses become non runners - which I should have done when Aiming High was pulled from the race.

Current (Lay Bet) opinion as of 20:46 hours BST on Thursday 4th September

Races on Friday 4th September 2025 - First 10 from my picks =
  • 13.32 - Haydock - Run Of Luck
  • 14.20 - Ascot - Raaheeb (IRE)
  • 14.30 - Bangor - Baikal
  • 14.30 - Bangor - Buxted Reel (IRE)
  • 15.05 - Bangor - Magistrato (FR)
  • 16.05 - Ascot - Fine Interview (FR)
  • 16.10 - Bangor - Golden Dove
  • 16.20 - Haydock - Hilltop
  • 16.32 - Kilbeggan - Ballykinlar (IRE)
  • 16.40 - Ascot - High Degree

Caveats =

I Ignore prices the day before, they frequently change and are often misleading.

I am only interested in horses that I believe cannot win.

I often drop a horse from the list on the day, if the race is altered in any way;
  1. A stronger horse becomes a non runner on the day
  2. Rain does not prevent the race, but is unfavourable to stronger horses
  3. The jockey is changed on a stronger horse
  4. Worst scenario = Several horses become non runners
Finally, I always stop when I have achieved even a penny over my desired target, or if any of the above affects the remaining choices, whichever comes first.

Oh and ....

** If I am still battling after the above 10 have run, I will load another 10 **
