Arc day ground

this is just another example of Reet Hard in his attempts to belittle virtually everything i post on here..even though he's wrong yet again

i'm not being a drama queen either,,but when people question whether this person is purposely posting against me..then this thread and the Robot Boy one highlight just what his game is.

sorry to mention it..i'm not crying..just highlighting this one

on saying that...but i'm sick to f00kin death of the clown..boo hoo:)

You are being a drama queen! Am I only allowed to post when it agrees with your view,, ffs?
Today's time was just 1.45secs above Peintre Celebre's record for the race, btw.

You sure it's not riding a touch slow EC :D

aye:)

this is another thread type i won't ever be starting again on here..its a waste of time with some isn't it?..such as your Reet Hard's would rather score points than appreciate that someone is trying to help people

would anyone here have backed Treve if they thought the ground fast?..i don't think so

no you can get lost with the drama queen bollix..you are just a knob trying to score points.

12f records recorded here are recorded in October..so even the fastest Arc's are not on true fast ground..thats what you aren't understanding..learn how to translate times before you try and make me look daft

not one winner today wants fast ground

i've shown you how to work out the going from your beloved RP standards..and still you don't grasp it

RP timed ground last year = good.
With the slowest run of 8 races just 0.11 secs above standard, I'll eat my hat if they don't have today's ground a piece faster.

its the interpretation of times thats misunderstood..its same at Cheltenham..when its the fastest champion hurdle ever run..people assume its rock hard ground..when in fact its just a bit faster than the norm at Cheltenham in March..just faster than the norm there is Good/Soft...so over a period of years that becomes the Good..based on times that people get used to seeing..unless you allow for that...so first time its just fast side of good..everyone thinks its rock hard because times are quicker than the norm..when in fact..its just a bit faster than good

Ground doesn't ride rock hard in March or October...so the fastest races under scrutiny run in those times are assumed very fast ground..wrongly

the whole purpose of assessing the ground is so you can bet accordingly..all horses winning to day had previously won on Good or slower..I did that successfully here...not one fast ground horse won..why is that then?...simply..its not Good to firm..its top end of Good..but still good..print being made etc

The RP also agree..for those that think they are the best at creating goings etc..they had todays race 4+ seconds faster than a 100 standard..which for a horse with an RPR as high as Treve..means she ran to par for the RP standard for class...for Good ground..again uninformed people look at faster than standard and bingo..ooh its rock hard ground.

The fastest Arc does not mean extremely fast ground..that is the key point we are looking at here.

what you have to ask yourself is..do you want to know the state of the ground before you bet?..well if you had listened to Reet with his fast ground assessment you wouldn't have backed a winner..as not one fast ground horse has won

so who has benefitted from reading the times correctly?..that will be me..unless someone can name all the fast ground winners over the last two days

Ground fair bit faster this year than last. All times quicker, Arc itself by 5.99s.

Source Simon Rowlands of Timeform

a bit faster than what though?...do you know what the ground was last year?..for instance ..faster than Heavy is soft.

Of course its faster..doesn't make it fast ground though..which it wasn't..or we would have had fast ground horses winning over the two days

just to add..many of the distances are incorrectly measured at Longchamp..the 5f track for one and the 7f track for another..all of which makes it seem to a casual observer that races are being run under fast conditions..crikey a 56 seconds 5f..must be fast ground..no..its only 4.9 f

found this

Treve's trainer Criquette Head-Maarek ruled out suggestions of retirement for Treve and said she would still like the filly to try and defend her crown in the Arc. She said: "The filly had a few problems and it might be that she is not the same filly as she was last year, but I think she ran a good race and she will come on for this.

"She made a good effort, she gave weight away and finished not too far back and you have to remember that after the race in England (Prince of Wales's Stakes) she was literally stopped for a whole month (with a muscle problem), she was being walked.

"Personally I would like to see her in the Arc and I will do everything I can so she can be at the start of the Arc. I am hoping the ground will be a little bit softer [for the Arc]. It was not as firm today as it was at Ascot, but she would still prefer it softer.
