Arkle Novices Chase Tues March 15th

Altior got his 170 pre-Arkle rating because he prepped in the Game Spirit against established 2-milers. All of the others were confined to novice chases before their respective Arkles.

I know..which is/was a dam sight better than winning round lowly Warwick.

Plus I think he deserved that rating even if he had won at Warwick instead of............where the fook is the Game Spirit run again?

We won’t really know until after the race, will we? Edwardstone hasn’t done anything wrong, he jumps well and hasn’t had to extend himself too much. Maybe he’ll be found wanting, maybe he won’t.

You're right he hasn't done anyhing wrong but neither has Tommy Oscar but he's not going to win the Grade 1 Champion Hurdle..if you get my point?

I'm not sure there is anything in here to expose him though, I want to take him on but it's a weak field thus I've landed on Couer Sublime almost by default.

I quite like Haut en Couleurs but he’s a tickle short for one coming into the race on the back of a fall

No surprises none outside the 6/7 yr old bracket won then.

Chuffed with that. As edgt says, he did it professionally. I'm not convinced it was the strongest ever Arkle but he'd have shown up well in a good one.
