Well done Griff. I have a daughter who is out on a first date - they are worrysome these girls. I am staying away from the cheap Chardonnay in case I have to drive into town and beat the shite out of him.

I'll text her when it suits me. I had to get the last bus so I could catch the last train to Mallow. Give her a kiss on the her right cheek from me......Dad....

She worked a night shift last night and looked more grumpy than usual when I picked her up, so I didn't ask. Mood music wasn't good though.

Many congrats, Griff! Glad you're pleased with your new maid and I hope the problem is minor and correctable.

Mind you, can't understand why you wanted to know the sex - that's one of the best surprises, I reckon!

Are you sure you haven't been lurking around my farm with Mr GG??? Making out somewhere here? Hmmm?

It's just that with all those girl babies, maybe you're on the same water supply or summat, 'cos it sounds just like the mare's foaling records or the cows', come to that!! Filly, filly, filly, filly or heifer, heifer, heifer, heifer...... :P

All the very best for the remainder of your pregnancy Griffin and to a very happy event in March

I assume by the date the infant is expected that this was an unplanned pregnancy! :D
 Another baby was planned, however we chose not to :shy: try too hard in June because we didn't want a March baby. We already have one, Molly, who arrived on March 13th 1999, my mums birthday is on the 14th and my dads on the 18th. March had become a very expensive month in our household  Not wanting to miss the parties, madame chose to arrive in March too. We were very surprised to find out she was on her way a few months earlier than planned

If she arrives early, on her due date or a day later I shall not be very happy  And if she does inconvenience me, the person who tries to turn the telly off while I'm in labour will feel the sharp end of my tongue :angy:  The only problem I envisage is that I plan on giving birth in a pool in the living room, and the computer is upstairs, so I don't know how I'll access Betfair should she arrive during the afternoon of the 14th, 15th, 16th or 17th

A NEIGHBOUR OF MINE a GERMAN GIRL ......was preggers and due on the 1st of January she had it yesterday premature obviously!! she had planned to go home to ALM in Southern Germany at the end of the month to have it there.. but it popped out before, I know its her birthday today she told me over coffee a few days ago but she's in hospital now...

So Griffin one never knows you could have it before your given date???????

Griffin, it sounds as if the going will be a bit on the heavy side in your house come the Festival.
Should I be so fortunate as to have any winners, I'll not be doing too much jumping up and down  Perhaps I ought to put the waterproof sheets down in front of the telly just incase?

Years later... "So, class, who can tell us what their very first memory is? Mary?"

"Yes, Miss. I remember my Mum shouting out 'go on, go on, go onnnn... oh... yesssss! That's my forecast up!'"

Krizon - As a Catholic I believe life begins at conception. But even I have doubts that a child can remember that event in the detail you describe.

Thank you for defining and sharing with us your thoughts on the origins of life, AC. However, I feel bounden to point out that the posting above is intended as something the English refer to as a 'joke', not something to be interpreted literally as either an unborn's or a newborn's first conscious memory, blah, blah, blah...

Well if she can remember the stuff she's hearing in utero it's bound to be "FFS! Fecking second again" She's been hearing it a lot lately

AC: no, I won't. I'm practising my curmudgeonly skills for a 2.1 pass, having failed in Sarcasm III and only marginally squeaked by in Outright Rudery. So bugger off.
