Hi guys, been having a rough old time which a couple of weeks in Madeira has put right,so it’s good to be back in the fold.
Missed some good racing yesterday, but there’s plenty to enjoy today and I might sprinkle a bit of ground bait around just to see what comes swimming along.

I suppose you wouldn’t be all that surprised by whoever wins the 2:20 3m handicap at Cheltenham, but I’m keen to see how Pepe Le Moko goes after his “failure” last time at Kempton in February when favourite and finishing five lengths fifth of six behind Golden Son. He nonetheless earned his highest RPR to date in that race where I thought he was done no favours being left in the lead early on and he mucked up the last when still in with a shout. First try today at three miles which should be ok.

Theatre Man looks a cut above the rest in the 4:05 at Cheltenham, but price a tad skinny. If there’s something that jumps out of the woodwork here, it might be Moon D’Orange who is back with John McConnell now and who ran well over too short a distance on his handicap debut ten days ago.

Apparently Nicky Richards has designs on the Grand National with Famous Bridge - 3:55 Kelso - who probably needs to win just to get in. Here? Or just a prep. Anyway, I think Lucinda Russell’s Apple Away is a good favourite in the race.

Re Apple Away. You'll remember he was just about my favourite horse from last year and there's no doubt he's good enough to win but I've got more of an eye on him running in the Hennessey.

Well, that wasn’t a happy day! Looks like she was being prepped for later, yo. (btw, she’s not a drag artist, you know, she’s the real deal :D )
