The drying ground may scupper Venetia's recent rich run of form, but three have been declared for tomorrow's meeting at Chepstow. Ramo ( finished ahead of two in three runs last season), Tanganyika ( first run good, second run not so good ), and Galop De Chasse ( P4PP on last four runs last season). All the signs pointing to a Barney Curley type coup are there.

The enigmatic Crebilly takes on Ramo in the 2:10 three mile handicap hurdle at Chepstow tomorrow. Whatever has been planned for him is still to come to fruition.
 
I'd definitely give her one...

more chance this weekend.

It's now 28 days and 28 runners since Venetia's last winner though Heva Rose recorded a new letter in her form figures at Hereford today. She hasn't got any runners until at least Thursday when several are entered at Ludlow including the Susannah Ricci owned Kara Sacre.

This YouTube film, available to watch from tomorrow, should include some nice views of the Herefordshire countryside.

There might even be some shots in it of a wooden horse race, where several of the grainy field have lapped 17 Venetia Wiliams runners who joined in thinking "this is our chance", twice!
 
The thing is...

The day will come when the 3 or 4 timer does land. It just can't be this bad without some underlying cause.

Venetia will likely find out what it is.

Sadly, it's possible that by then hers will be carrying 2 stone 3 in class 5s.

It’s now 36 days and 40 runners. What an earth has happened?

January 2026 - Following an unsuccessful December, January is declared the new November by the TH Massive.
February 2026 - Following an even more unsuccessful start to the year, February, according to the TH Massive, is when VW will strike.
March 2026 - Despite a winnerless year so far, the TH Massive confidently predicts a successful Cheltenham Festival for VW.
April 2026 - Even though the Fez was catastrophic for VW, the TH Massive are in no doubt the Grand National meeting is where VW turns it around.
2026/2027 Season - Having had no winners since New Year's Day and nothing in the frame since March, it is clear to the TH Massive VW has a yard full of well handicapped horses and this will be a great season for her.
End of 2026/2027 Season - With no wins, no places and 80% of runners pulled up all season, VW hands in her licence, blaming the curse of a TH thread on her downfall. VW announces she will open a fish and chip shop funded by the proceeds of her court action against an "A Mount" for the little-known civil Tort of "Putting A Right Bok On Her."
