Second Grassy's congratulations, Fonz. Vyta might work as a name but Gilgamboa-no!
Least I've done AP for years,
by a long way, and since my track record shows that my AP hit rate backing short prices is actually worse than when I go for longer ones I've avoided quite a lot of races this year.
The single bet that has the most impact is what is for me a large ew on New To This Town. Originally intending to trade perhaps half ( hence warning in Bumper thread) found the market too small to be worth the effort. So have just over 20's average and am sticking with it. Reading post late night that the horse wouldn't run, just after watching Spurs smashed at West Ham, really depressed me. Soon recovered.
Medium bets include Taquin De Seuil(yesterday), Rock the World, Road to Riches(GC), John Constable-for once I agreed with an adviser and Altior.
Have a lot of multiples, many are small stakes Yankees etc( limits) but also several higher stakes doubles and trebles where successful returns would yield £10k and £20k respectively. At the odds of my selections that not too costly. In addition to the above horses, permutations also include Vicente, Oscar Sam and surely a forum favourite Rolling Maul. I really think he has a fair chance. I would be chuffed for Roddy were he to win and whilst my ew single would fund my celebration it would certainly boost multiple returns.
FWIW I think Yanworth could be exceptional. Got the same feeling watching him on Trials Day as I did watching Sprinter Sacre going chasing. Missed the prices but might be tempted on the day.
Good Luck all!
