Big Bucks and Al Ferof out for season ?

What story is this about Clive Smith ?

Probably something and nothing... apparently a story is about to break that will have us sobbing our hearts out for Nicholls and being outraged that Smith is exercising ownership of his property... can’t see what that could consist of myself. It would take a lot for me to start feeling sorry for Nicholls.

See Kauto Star thread. Suggestions from at least a couple of contributors that Clive Smith has been a bad man, but it's so cloak and dagger it's hard to say.

Couldn't agree more.

Glad someone agrees (where have you been btw?). I'm not trying to sound harsh but he's a bit of a self indulgent cry baby at the best of times and he's turning this latest episode into a full scale Greek tragedy.

Nicholls claimed on the TV to be embarrassed by it all and yet is looking for any opportunity to take the moral high ground. he doesn't want to be interviewed under scrutiny because he has nothing to say, but he is very happy to RT snide tweets about it all.

Nobody has said you'll be sobbing your heart out for Paul Nicholls. People need to be less closed minded

Like I say it's hard to tell as they are being so secretive about what they "know", but there is a lot of talk about U turns, egg on faces and that Smith is a bad man. I find it hard to believe. I don't think I'm being closed minded when I say I cannot imagine a scenario that would change the facts of the matter of Smith's ownership.

Again, I couldn't agree more. Poor ickle-wickle Pumpkin; one of his nasty-wasty owners dared to stand up for themselves & claim ownership of a horse THEY bought & THEY paid thousands for to live at Ditcheat.

I'm just as in the dark as you, Steve.

Good to see you back.

You too... it's not as if I'm even particularly interested in who said or did what. An owner has exercised his right to do something with one of his horses (albeit a high profile one) rather than retire him. If Smith has been nasty, or Nicholls a prat, or somewhere between the two, I dare say we'll all get over it.

Isn't this about Al Ferof and Big Buck's? I couldn't give two shits about the Kauto Star situation.

Gutted about the grey horse, I think he was gonna win some good races this year.

Actually makes the World Hurdle an interesting race for once.

Pipe tweeted today: "Grands Crus galloped this morning and I am pleased with his progress. Still hoping to make the King George at Kempton on Boxing Day."

I was being facetious but if he bombs at Kempton it would be no surprise for him to appear in the Hamlet Without The Prince World Hurdle
