Big Bucks

Had impression they didn't know what was left in tank with him last year so ran him where they could.

Can afford to be more selective this year. 3 miles at Leop Xmas will be a bog.

If our old boy the hurricane was to take in the Hattons Grace, would Sol take up the appointment?

Chances of the Fly running in the Hattons Grace are zero, I'd say. His campaign is an easy one to call, if he stays sound.

I've no ground concerns for Solwhit - he's proven to go on anything. And connections could have exercised caution last season if they'd wanted to. The Stayers had demonstrated how much Solwhit had 'left in the tank', and I doubt whether the Aintree and Auteuil runs were an attempt to make hay - it was more about making-up for lost time, imo.

Assume you mean Annie Power and couldn't agree more. I thought her Fairyhouse win was one of the most impressive novice hurdle performances of the season but she'd have some tough opposition in Ireland next year if she stayed hurdling. Difficult one.
