Not having a going day then Martin ?

You can definitely get blinkers here Martin, they supply most of the jockeys with their riding gear & have a large shop outside Lambourn. They're really friendly & helpful too - speak to Candy & tell her I recommended you & she should look after you! Woodlands tel: 01488 648820

The ones from Woodlands are cheaper!!! :P

They've also got far more stock in their shop than is on their website so worth ringing them up. If you do buy a pair of blinkers from them I can probably hand deliver them to you at Liverpool as well Martin!

Good luck with them, Martin. If you've been losing focus recently, they should do the trick, but you might look better in sheepskin cheekpieces and noseband. (Well, certainly around Christmas-time... )

Do you deliver to the Glasgow area Dom. I am up for a pair of sheepskin cheekpieces.

I do have problems concentrating but they aren't for me.
A friend of mine wants to try something different with her horse - she showjumps him at local shows but his jumping is pretty poor, he's very very very easily distracted - gates, other horses, trees, you name it it catches his eye so here's hoping the blinkers do the trick.

Woodlands look the cheapest, thanks all for the help - was beginning to wonder if they were all custom made for racing stables. She normally gets everything from Robinson's at last we've found something they don't sell!

Thanks again
Martin

most of my wages used to go here www.ejwicks.co.uk they're bound to have them might be worth trying, rideaway is also a good one to try its run by a relative of david chapman & White Rose saddlery is specifically a racing saddlery in Malton

Marty your friend might want to look at rules and guidelines for showjumping her horse in blinkers. I know for a fact its "illegal" to use this gear at competition level anywhere in the world. They also uphold these rules across the EFA here in Australia.

When I was doing Pony Club 3 years ago, someone had pacifiers (the head gear that Choisir wore) on their horse just in the internal Pony Club competition. They had them on the horse because of an eye problem, and nothing was flicking up into his eye. However the judges disqualified her, because she had broken not only the EFA rules but the International Rules.

Make sure she checks, and gets them pre approved. Nothing worse than being disqualified, even though she is trying to get the horse to concentrate. Has she considered winkers also? They are the big woollen bits, like the shadow roll but sit on the sides of the bride. She may be able to get away with these, if she cannot with blinkers, especially if she puts them on with a shadow roll.

It's not for use during the competitions GA just for schooling him and then fingers crossed the bad habits will be out of the way and he can jump normally and not go nuts :)

Oh, it depends on what you're offering in return HT!!!
A crash course in Compile Your Own Odds Volume 0 (that's the real one) followed by an evening of unimaginable pure unadulterated filth.

Dom, I think he means he's going to hand you the vacuum cleaner, the mop, the duster, and a yard broom afore ye go. Just don't want you to be disappointed.

But IS this the real HT, huh? And which cheeks does he want the sheepskin for, I wonder? :suspect: Our golden-haired maiden could fall into a den of foul iniquity if we don't try to put her on her guard, Troodles.

I hadnt htough of it until you pointed out what the REAL night of unadulterated filth would be Kri - and I think in her innocent state Dom may need us to defend her honour.....
