This occurred to me too.
You put it up here early. The Weekender was tipping it right, left and centre, including Tom Segal.
Why was it allowed to go off at 12/1? I can't imagine that happening if the same scenario happened with a big UK race. Is there something about the market in Ireland that's different? Do the UK bookies just shorten things up regardless of the true market?
I also couldn't believe Snake Eyes was favourite. How often do good UK horses win these races? Did the Irish punters just latch on to JP/AP/NJH? Did the Irish bookies skilfully steer the punters on to it?
