Boylesports Manager Steals €590k

"Detective Garda Padraig Harrington yesterday said Paddy Power became so concerned about the extent of the gambling by Ronan Crowley, aged 33, of Carrig Downs, Carrigtwohill, that it investigated it internally and refused to take any more bets from him."

I'd been wondering what happened to him when he went shite at golf.

PP refused to take any more bets from him after he'd already lost 390k in 18 months and only then spoke to the golfer detective about the situation. They knew he worked for Boylesports as a betting shop manager, so they were well aware he wasn't earning a big salary.

Presumably they thought he was either blowing an inheritance or stealing the money. In either scenario should they be expected to give some of it back?

These are the same people who refused me any more promotional offers, my 25p 'yankees' were obviously too much of a risk and who, subsequently, tried several times to get me to place bets with them.

Boylesports was and is a 'numpty' of an organisation.

Det Garda Harrington said that because of the scale of gambling by an individual, they are required to investigate the source of the money.
When Paddy Power contacted him, it was told by Crowley that he had inherited the cash.
:D
not sure why they should be expectd to give any back?
