Scientists believe that people with lower testosterone levels tend to take fewer risks so they are probably more willing to keep less for themselves. Those with higher testosterone levels tend to drive a harder bargain and are less compromising.

I am interested in the last question (I came out average male btw). I am having difficulty understanding why anyone would demand more than half or accept less than half of the money. Can anyone enlighten me with an insisght into their thought processes on this? (PDJ!).
 
The last question - The other person either gets what I leave behind or gets nothing. I define how much I want and I would think they will jump on board just to get a tenner - after all it is better than nowt. That's the way I read it, simmo.
 
I read it that way too, simmo but they have to agree to what I suggest. I can't see any reason why they would turn down a share of 50 quid, no matter how small.
 
I make the choice, simmo. They have to accept a tenner or get nowt. If I was in their shoes I would take the tenner.
 
Most people I know would tell you to get stuffed. At least that's what they's tell me if I tried that on. :lol:

I did bloody well on 'Words', if I say it myself ('Modesty' wasn't measured): 16 on grey, 15 on happy, and the average is a measly 11.4 for blokes and 12.4 for wimmin, so I assume on that score, if nowt else, I'm superhuman.

I'm 50% female, and I offered precisely £25 to the other person, since we seemed to be being set a task together. No point in having them go off in a snit, and end up doing it all yourself, is there? (Pee - yes, it was grading 500 Advanced Nuclear Physics theses. Now you get to do them all yourself, you curmudgeon!)

I prefer Masculine Faces, which is nice.

The only area I would feel guilty about if I wasn't apparently a closet sociopath, was 'empathy' - a rather under-responding 9/20, followed through with my usual 'fuck it' attitude to systemising (flat pack furniture? You're avinalarf!): a disdainful 5/20. Look, here's the screwdriver, clever clogs - put the 'easy home assembly' bookcase together yourself.

Cool. I understand your thinking there now. I was putting myself in the other person's shoes, a position in which I would demand parity or nothing. I didn't have it to start with so it's not as if I've lost anything, whereas if I accept less than half I will have lost a little bit of self respect.

Interesting how different people view it in different ways though!
