C4 ratings catastrophe for The Derby

Advertising slots will be at more of premium too. worked in media buying for a while and evening slots are way more expensive than daytimes (less distracted audience is a factor)

I would be amazed if it wasnt a much bigger audience in the evening. Surely the majority are more likely to watch in the evening of summers day?
 
Who are these people who are suddenly going to watch the Derby at any time or day?
It may be a big event to fans of horse racing but to the ordinary person in the street it is of little importance. it is not the spectacle like the Grand National.
Sorry if that is impalitable to some people but it is true..in my humble opinion.
 
... maybe some of the millions that disappeared when the BBC coverage stopped-not all of them were experts or even fans.I have no interest in golf but I will watch the last hour of The Open because it's usually on at about sixish on a Sunday.
