Canadian from Ontario found your forum because I did a search for....

I had hitherto considered Canada to be primarily notable for: Rush, Trailer Park Boys (and a lady called Stephanie I was once friends with).

This thread has opened my eyes to a fourth option.
We Canadians have such a terrible and scary climate that we are forced to read and read and read and even watch documentaries on TV just to somewhat alleviate the boredom.

All that reading tends to inspire us toward some out of the box thinking on lots of topics.

I used to be a member in good standing of a church...... but then I found near death experience accounts and voila.... I was off on three and a half decades of church hopping, [not to mention four campaigns for public office that I did terrible in, but I had fun because I met a lot of interesting people all over the internet].

I wouldn't know if Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and the late Neil Peart were religious, I don't recall the characters in Trailer Park Boys going to church (unless it was to rob it one episode) and I'd be fairly confident Stephanie wasn't a churchgoer either - each to their own!

True, if Trailer Park Boys had gone to a church in an episode, that might have killed the series.

I got back such a brilliant reply to the topic that I began about "Clever Hans" the Horse that I have got to share this one"

" Horses/mules, canines goats & deer have an uncanny capability to be able to pick up our human EMOTIONS & therefore read our minds/moods to a point. As a kid I spent 2-1/2 years with a herd of semi-domesticated/domesticated(NOT penned up in an enclosure) free roaming Columbian Black-Tailed deer(CBT deer). Deer INSTINCTIVELY can read a persons intentions & I believe that's because they pick up on our EMOTIONS(spiritual wave lengths/vibrations???) For years & years after I cleared Redland Oregon in the last few days of 1968 I told folks about the truly unique capabilities my Bitsy Baby(Matriarch doe of the herd/the Boss) & her herd exhibited, but I had no way to prove what I was telling them was factual. Around 1992 the desk top computer came to my rescue. That's when I found out that I really truly was not alone in this world regarding my absolute love for these creatures.

Below; the spike buck can't speak English or German but he sure seems to understand what Marlis is saying to him! At 2:34 U can see him closing in on a small young doe. At 2:58 U can hear Marlis say to him "Hey Hey Hey, Yeah Leave That Baby Alone", all the while ushering the spike away from the tiny doe with the back of her left hand. Also @ 2:58 NOTICE the INTENSE EYE LOCK that the spike buck has on Marlis like he is ABSORBING EVERYTHING Marlis is telling him to a tee. Then he follows Marlis' instructions by turning away from the immature doe & heads away towards a more mature/seasoned doe! I mean this is so OBVIOUS that only the blind could miss it.

Deer, don't enjoy life without them!"
