she is on most of the night tonight - the IN CONCERT at 8.30 from 1971 is superb.

this ain't my kind of music..but i appreciate talent like she had

As a kid I use to marvel at how shite my parents musical tastes were. They had hundreds of records and in amongst the awful Neil Diamond's and the overrated Rod Stewart's was Tapestry - the only decent album they owned, and probably one of the least played.
 
Hate to be a pedant, but no "e" at the end of her Christian name. She always reminds me of Bob Dylan; wrote some wonderful songs, but just could not sing them! :D
 
I was only a young fella at the time Tapestry came out. I liked it well enough but watching tonight I'm reminded how beautifully crafted her songs are.

Btw I didn't know Up On The Roof is one of hers, I've always liked the Drifters version.
