Fascinating but tricky meeting with the ground. I wonder how deep it will get given it'll be on the hurdles track which hasn't had any watering over the summer.

Sprint - no idea, pin stickers race

Mares - Trappy

Long Distance - Stradivarius is a laudable animal but his form since the Gold Cup isn't there imo. The 3yo he was all out to beat in the Lonsdale did nothing for the form in the Leger and he's ultra opposable. The ground complicates matters as his chief opponent, Kew Gardens, isn't ideally suited to it. Plus the fav may not run if it's too soft. The other Gosden, Royal Line, is a bit short now but should relish conditions.

QEII - Benbatl was always a terrible price for this. Ran poorly at Ascot last year and the ground has just cemented his downfall here. I took 10s on The Revenent a week or so ago. He was very impressive in the Wildenstein the form of which gives him an edge on this field. Think Magna Grecia could be the danger and is worth a saver.

Champion - What a mess this race is, cannot have Addeybb as fav for a race of this stature. Will back Magical is she runs.
