Champions Weekend

5/2 Minding
10/3 Harzand
6/1 Almanzor
7/1 Fascinating Rock
9/1 Found
12/1 Highland Reel and New Bay
16s Bar

What a race. Interesting that Minding is biggest at Powers, actually 5/2 is pretty fair.

I'm on Almanzor and Fas' Rock but Found is winking at me. I think her trainer may have left her short after a couple of months off at York and I think she'll hit the frame.

Is Found a definite runner? 9/1 seems a bit too good to be true, im kind of hoping the rain doesn't arrive and Harzand is pulled out, I just have it in the back of my mind that the Niel is the more suitable prep for the Arc than this.

O'Brien was quoted in yesterday's Post as follows: "We're looking at the Irisch Champion Stakes for Minding...Found seems in good form and will join Minding if all goes well with her over the next day or two."

Stay out of the shade, I suggest.

My brother is down there too this week. Somewhere near Marbella. Puerto Banus?

I'm further east in Nerja. A cool 30 today. Hard not to become irritable in this heat. (Helps explain the narky behavior of Suny over the last decade or so, mind.)

Harzand pulled from the Niel and confirmed as a definite runner at Leopardstown, Wouldn't be my choice,I would imagine something will have a bit too much toe for him here. It certainly looks a hell of a good race.

champion stakes easily the most anticipated flat race this season in terms of star quality. not too hard to attain that achievement though.

48 hr decs for this wonderful meeting. About time the Irish came into the twentieth century and adopted this practice across all Flat meetings.

Your right there's been some ropey looking Grp 1's this season but were usually spoiled from the Sprint Cup onwards and there looks some mouthwatering clashes to come this late summer/autumn.

Fascinating Rock has been campaigned horribly this season. Three Group 1 races - POW, Eclipse and now the ICS where he had his ideal conditions, all passed by. Ridiculous.

I should have two tickets available for Saturday and three for Sunday, all going well.
Anyone interested PM me please.

I have 4 for Sat and 4 for Sunday that I can't use. Free to a good home but you will have to travel West to collect them....

I thought U.S. Army Ranger was incredibly flat last time out and I'm not sure where he is going to find the improvement to win tomorrow.I think he is running here in an unusually desperate attempt to prepare for the Arc.

There was a lot of rain in Ireland yesterday and more forecast tomorrow but the experts say today will be a great drying day.

Good news for ballydoyle backers, Not so good for Harzand punters.

Big place lay of Harzand at an average of about 1.73 - I think it's a great trade but I wouldn't mind standing it.

Yielding- good to yielding, Harzand should have no excuses on that ground
Cracking race in store

Clearly nowhere near enough of a test for Harzand, DK will have a hell of a job getting him ripe for Chantilly.
Good race, Well done Euro-another one in for the Ante-Post thread :)
