Ffos Las Titans Approach 5pts win 7.4

Finished 2nd btn 1/2L in a PTP at Inch – 3 horses from that race have run under rules since and two of them that finished behind Titans Approach have won bumpers – one of them Onenightinvienna was 4 1/2L behind Titans Approach receiving 5lb. Onenightinvienna had Millanisi Boy (also in todays race) 28L behind.
Titans Approach is sired by High Chapparal who has a 27% strike rate on heavy and a 21% strike rate over 14f+ he cost £32,000 which makes him the most expensive purchase in this race. The ground today is really testing and Titans approach has racecourse experience should handle ground and stay. At the odds he’s my value bet in the race.

ZEYRAN - 2:40 PONTEFRACT 5pts e/way 11.5 & 3.0 not matched yet
5 ch m Galileo - Chervil.
Very lightly raced and won mile handicap debut at Yarmouth in May off 71. Only two runs subsequently and went to 82 after finishing five lengths fifth of seven to Starlight Symphony at Windsor in July.

"She really sparkled on the Limekilns in her most recent work, I was seriously impressed. Might race in a hood because she has been keen. Her rating is winnable and if she does win off that then she will go for black type."

Windsor
2.20 FROZEN PRINCESS 1pt e/way sp - has a bad draw
B f Showcasing - Roodeye.
Unraced.
"Plenty of speed and will be our first juvenile runner at Windsor on April 14."

4.20 Joeys Destiny 3pts e/way 8.4 &2.14 – trainer says, “ I think he is better than his mark of 80 and he is pleasing me no end at home.” Has since run finishing 2nd btn 3/4L to a Fahey horse at Doncaster and carried 1lb overweight. Has been put up 5lb for that run but could be more to come.

1.45 Zilber 3pts e/way plus 1pt r/f/c with Provident Spirit - The race is The Alex Scott Maiden Stakes and Ed Dunlop the trainer of Zilber was assistant trainer to Alex Scott at the time of his murder. I traced this maiden back 7 years, run in as the Alex Scott Maiden and this is Ed Dunlop's first runner in the race. Alex Scott's father was the 2nd Baronet of Rotherfield and the ownership of this horse has passed from Dr Marwan Koukash to his wife, Lady Derby & Countess Wessex. I don't know if there is any connection but I smell a plot-up possibly?

2.20 Flyball / Harry Hurricane 3pt r/f/c depending if the sp's make it profitable.

4.05 Sandiva 5pts win 7/2- Trainer thinks this filly is star quality and says, "She's been a wonderful filly and we were surprised how cheap we got her. She's lengthened and grown, her works good and I'e been delighted with her. She'll definitely run in one of the trials at Newbury or Newmart."

5.45 Thedrinymeister - I think the NH Flat race he ran in at Towcester will produce many winners.

Cork
4.00 Tabac Brun – “He's a nice type of horse and we'll probably be looking for a beginners chase with him before the end of the season. I think he could be competitive again over hurdles and in his beginners chase.” 16/1 – 1pt e/way

2.40 Dropzone – 6/1 2pts e/way
trainer says; "He just keeps growing but he's on a mark we can have a bit of fun with. I don't think it matters whether it's two or two and a half miles. Still immature but a very good model of a horse."

Yarmouth
4.10 Affaire De Coeur – 4/1 – 3pts win
trainer says; “ Talented filly, I was very pleased with her last year when she had an issue in the autumn that prevented her from running as a 2yo. She’ll start off soon and she’ll get better as the year goes on. She has natural speed and I imagine she’ll be starting off over 7f -1m.”
Chef: One to follow I think.

Redcar
3.55 Manchestar – 11/2 2pts e/way
trainer says; “ As he matures he will get better and he could progress. He battled on well at Doncaster, the hood definitely made a difference. I trained the dam and she was a bit quirky and this lad is too.”

Fakenham
1.55 REGAL D'ESTRUVAL 6/4 – 5pts win
9 b g Panoramic - Hale D'Estruval.
Handicap hurdler/ chaser has been 134 in latter and 125 in former, Had to drop to selling grade when winning latest start over two at Fakenham March 14 - first success since October 2011. Currently 114.
"It was great to get a win with him but he has been disappointing. Plenty of talent and he did enjoy the drop in grade so he'll stay at that level next time."
Chef: Had two races in better grade, now returned to a seller should have a great chance.

Fairy house
2.45 KITTEN ROCK – 4/1 – 3pts win
Jockey says; “ I’d be fancying his chances. He’s won his last two very easily for Edward O’Grady and he’s missed all the big events at Cheltenham and Aintree to come for this a fresh horse.
He’s well worth a second look because Edward is very sweet on him.”

IRISH NATIONAL
Rich Revival – 33/1 1pt e/way
"He hasn't been himself this year at all for whatever reason so we changed his feed and changed a few things since he ran in the Thyestes Chase as he hadn't been in a good vein of form. He seems to be coming out of it, his coat is good at the minute and I'm contemplating putting blinkers on him as well as he had a couple of hard races when he got his head in front in handicaps last year. I'm looking for a good improvement in form and I think he will."
Chef: Ran well in a hurdle race l/t/o and I get the feeling this has been the target all season

SHUTTHEFRONTDOOR – 12/1 3pts e/way
Jockey says: This is a horse with plenty of improvement left in him and he’s trained by a man that excels in getting one ready for a big staying handicap chase - Jonjo O’Neill, who won this in 2007.
The vibes I’m getting from Jackdaws Castle are very good indeed and that’s encouraging because all I know about this lad is what I’ve seen.

2.15 THORLAK - 3pts win 12.5
7 b h Caballo Raptor - Temara.
Signs of ability in first three hurdle starts but pulled up on handicap debut over two and a half at Ayr February 11 off 99.
"An enigma with ability and is getting towards the right handicap mark. I'll be looking for a novice handicap when he might be quite an interesting proposition."

With 7lb claimer the horse is 2lb out of the h'cap but I'll take a chance as blinkered for the first time and a little bit of money for him.

3.50 Ardkilly Witness 5pts e/way 14/1 already advised – trainer says,
"He's in great form but we decided to miss Cheltenham and Aintree because he wants to go right-handed so he's being trained for the bet365 Chase at Sandown on the last day of the season. I'm looking forward to that and he will probably run in a novice chase on April 6 at Market Rasen which should set him up for Sandown. He wants genuine good ground and isn't a slow horse and I think he'll stay."

5.00 Christopher Wren 7/1 3pts e/way – looks on a good mark for this chase and the race is named after the trainers father so a possibly targeted for it.

Doncaster
7.05 Born In Bombay 11/4 – 10pts win – price will have probably gone by the time you read this.
Trainers choice in stable tours – “Has done little wrong and looks smart, he’s a horse I have a lot of time for and he’ll run over 1m-1m2f starting in a h’cap at Doncaster.”

Ran out of time to do write ups on some of these,

Leicester
2.00 Mendacious Harpy 33/1 1pt e/way – trainer says, “She is still a maiden but gave us plenty of encouragement last year, including when fifth at listed level. If we box clever we may just nick some black type with her along the way.”

Haydock
2.20 Louis The Pious 6/1 3pts e/way – trainer says, “ He had a run at Pontefract, which was fine. There’s a nice handicap for him at Haydock on Saturday, over 7f worth £50,000.”

2.20 Sir Reginald 5/1 2pts e/way

2.55 Talmada 5pts win sp – trainer says, “I like her, she’s a strong filly, and needed the experience at Newbury. It was a strong division and the first two are probably decent fillies and she might prove to be the same.”

Ripon
2.50 Doc Hay 7/1 3pts e/way – trainer says, “There’s a nice race for him at Ripon on Saturday and he’ll be targeted at all the top sprint h’caps and maybe conditions and listed sprints.”

3.25 1pt combo f/c David O’Meara runners – 1pt e/way each

Sweet Lightning 9/1 – trainer says, “He was 4th in the Lincoln and 5th in the Spring Cup so he’s been bang there in the two biggest h’caps so far this season. I think he’s capable of winning a nice h’cap.”

Ingelby Angel 10/1 – trainer says, “He’s a wonderful horse. All he’s done is improve and there’s a chance he’ll improve again. He likes a long straight, tracks like Ripon and Haydock.”

Robert The Painter 14/1 – trainer says, “All he has done is improve and was 3rd in the Lincoln and won at Nottingham off 95. There’s a nice race for him at Haydock on Saturday

4.05 Chancery 6/1 – 3pts win – trainer says, “The ground was a little soft for him l/t/o but I think he’s up to Listed class.”

Doncater
8.05 Vanity Rules 5/1 2pts e/way – trainer says, “She’s a lovely big filly and came to me from John Gosden. She goes nicely for us and I will start her off in a mile handicap at Doncaster. I’d like to try and sneak some black type with her.”
