Cheltenham 2026

I've looked at all the markets and I try and target those where I think the front of the lists are there to be taken on either because they are overrated, too old, will likely go for a different race or have a history of not making the Festival or the Sir Gino principle as I like to call it.

L'Eau du Sord QM 33/1 - reasoning on the two mile chasers thread.

Sixandahalf Mares Hurdle 14/1. I felt being up with the pace made her vulnerable in the Mares Novice and getting a lead on the old course will suit her. Lossie and BDA unlikely to go here and Jade de Grugy might go chasing according to the owner.

Grey Dawning Ryanair 14/1. I like that he missed the Festival this season and would hope Dan would be more likely to go here than the GC, which he surely must if F2F heads for the blue ribband. Banbridge, Majborough, Ballyburn are other towards the head of the this market. Can't have any of them.

The Big Westerner BAdv 20/1. Biggest price I saw on this mare was 25s but I couldn't back that (Entain). She a lot shorter for the Mares Chase but is a big boaty type who surely needs three miles.

I also like Lossiemouth and The New Lion for the Champion Hurdle as Con Hill is a terrible fav for that but I don't get involved under 10/1 this far out.

Bump.

James has a tidy looking Lulamba bet and I'm happy with The Big Westerner.

As for 2027, Unibet have priced up some races and I've taken 20s about El Cairos for the Champion.

My app says different too, amazing how they can all come up with different things when they are privy to the same data.
Being local I reckon they struggle to have any real accuracy until they get within 48 hours.

You'd have to hope that the Met Office as the premier weather forecasters in the country should get it the most accurate? I know they had a big fall out with the BBC a few years ago hence the split and differences in reports.

I know weather forecasts aren't a precise science, but I sometimes use the above websites to help read a weather update for local radio, but the amount of times they get it wrong is quite bad.

I only use them now if I have to record the day before the broadcast.

Otherwise I just use my own eyes on the day.
