Cheltenham Handicaps

According to second hand reports only, he said on the Unibet preview that he prefers the Kim Muir. I didn't watch it myself.
I hope they are only second hand reports, especially for old forum member Maruco, also known as the all-round good guy that once bought me a Guinness on Gold Cup Day 2016, that is... Paul Beck!

More information here....

If this duly dots up, I hope our Paul will credit my blog and the hitlist I provided for giving him his insight afterwards. :)

He’s so far up his own hole it’s quite incredible. He has literally no idea how markets work. I messaged him years ago and told him I was having my maximum on Inothewayurthinkin for the Kim Muir. The first thing he did was have a lump on it himself and then broadcast it to his “followers” as his own idea. The Racing Post publishing that shit is a new low and why I absolutely despise the modern Cheltenham. That's one of the worst articles ever published in the Racing Post. Gigolo lands a "gamble" like that twice a week.

I heard on the grapevine he's so loved up these days that he's actually unable to post a message on here anymore. 😀

I think you are correct. I messaged him a while ago and no reply. I did meet the new Mrs M and she seemed very nice.

I backed Naiad du misselot and Kicks for free.but sadly not the forecast.
Nicholls actually f*cked up with kicks for free by winning its previous race and got put up so much it ended up topweight if I remember right.

I think The Yellow Clay is an attractive price for the Coral Cup (16/1 nrnb). On a stiff mark but Gordon has said that if he is to run in the Cup he will have a claimer on board (Hopefully M. Kenneally, more likely Josh Williamson). Could definitely see him going off single figures if he turns up.

His performances this season haven't set the world alight but people are quick to forget that he was half a length behind The New Lion in last years Turners, which is over C&D. Worth a dart in my opinion, you can always lay it off on the day.
Michael Kenneally booked. 9/1 now top price on the exchange.

16 years ago I was at Cheltenham when my favourite horse Chief Dan George won the Ultima I had a friend at the time called Georgina who also followed him. I lost touch with her over the years but tried to find her when I heard that he’d died ( she lived on a boat so wasn’t easy to track down). Blow me if my partner wasn’t walking the dog today and she had just got off a bus and started chatting to him and it turns out she now lives round the corner from him! Talk about a coincidence. Can’t wait to see her again.

At this point in your latest superb anecdote, Maureen, I was getting quite excited at the idea that this might be a euphemism for your friend basically being a pirate - imagine my disappointment when I then read she was spotted getting off a bus.
