There are currently eight jockeys booked, including Brendan Powell, who takes the ride on Cotswold Cottage. She is currently 19 on the list, so she’s not guaranteed a run. Brendan Powell is a significant booking in that his other half owns the horse, and it was previously trained and expertly handicapped by Brendan Powell Snr. I think you’ll all agree this is probably the most important race of the weekend.

Definitely - I'm planning to play up my "British racing strike 'scab' who bet on Cork" winnings on it (if, that is, I can get my head around a Cork meeting tomorrow that has more runners than British racing can muster in a WEEK).

Cork is my local track. It’s soulless for flat racing but buzzing for the upcoming jumps meetings, especially the Hilly Way Chase.

We used to have Mary Tyner’s number. My friend passed away this year — we got some lovely touches from that yard.

Race has split but Cotswold Cottage is declared in Div 1 with Powell aboard.

I don’t follow summer jumps, but I doubt Brendan Powell Jnr has had to do 10-7 often in recent months. She’d best not feed him over the next few days.

He did 1lb overweight at 10-2 a couple of weeks ago so he should be ok as long as he stays off the Guinness.

Good knowledge. Just try and get out from the draw and should have every chance.
