Alluringly in the 2.25 still has plenty of meat on the bone at 6/4. Can see her going off 11/10 tops.

Any strong fancies?

Watersmeet is interesting in the Chester Cup given his draw and running style. I don't think he's that badly handicapped now (step up in trip seems to have improved him) and Norton is shrewd enough to set decent fractions. Surprised if he finished out of the frame.

Main fancy is Royal Artillery in the Huxley on Thursday. He's of similar ability to Deauville who had the advantage of a run under his belt in the Gordon Richards (RA is huge and just gassed in the last furlong). The Stoute horse is too short given he's coming out of handicaps and Folkswood might be the main danger.

I took a bit of the 7/1 Who Dares Wins this evening, I'm guessing its Pricewise looking at Oddschecker. I'll be looking at Watersmeet if anyone goes 5 places in the morning.

In the sprint, Majestic Hero has 2lbs and a short head to find with the fav, and slightly the worst of the draw. However, Jamie reckons he went too soon that day - entirely plausible, given the way he rattled home at Epsom subsequently - and today's race looks ideally set up for one of his atalk and sprint specials.

Chester has been something of a bogey track for me over the years. I think I get too hung up on the effect of the draw and stop looking for the obvious.

Notwithstanding that, Gin in the Inn looks set to take the last having hacked up last week. Looks to be on the drift slightly and would be worth a decent bet if 2/1 became available.

I've already backed Alluringly, Sir Maximilian and Who Dares Wins on the advice of others.

Still decent prices about for Who Dares Wins. Sir Chauvelin is the each way alternative.

Should be a good double for Alluringly and Stradivarius. Gin the Inn is 6lb well in and will throw that in.

Don't usually back short price horses but those three look to be almost certain.

Not big bets for me though, better value on tomorrow's card in my opinion.

Confessional in the Sprint, Sir Chauvelin in The Cup for me. Both e/w

I followed Confessional off a cliff last year and it cost me dear. I won't back him today which means you stand a chance but everything points to another loss...famous last words...!!! Good luck anyway!

I do like the chances of Alluringly and have back it accordingly but the main/only I hope danger is Gosden's Enable............If he is turned over I covered my ass with Enable which would net me 190 quid..........if you are right it's party time

I love Chester it can really fook yer life up if you let it :0)

He's versatile and has tactical speed. I don't know how strong his chance is, but I'm pretty sure he's the bet (at the prices) in the race.

Only 1 bet for me, backed it e/w with Skybet last night.
Yorkidding....backed it in the Cesarewitch, was convinced it would stay. Drawn in the car park Adam Kirby never got him into the race. He definitely stayed, past about 20 in the final 2 furlongs...drawn 3 today; I expect him to make all and lead them a merry dance.

Slow away, and gave the outaide to no one afterward. Cé la vie.
Ryan Moore rescue mission needed in t'Çup.

Confessional ran a nice race for each way thieves like me. Like Reet Hard, could do with a winner now. Hopefully that will be Sir Chauvelin, in the next.

Backed it at 10/1 and stuck it in a big e/w multiple. Good luck!

Typical of my luck... Who Dares Wins was in front a few strides after the line. I need to watch the replay again but I'm not convinced it was 100% on the job there.

Two hours later-had a bet on every race and I'm down a couple of hundred kicking myself - only consolation is on this day two years ago I had one of my worst laying experiences ever.

Yorkidding was in front a few strides before the line, happy with the result though.
