Christmas Will Win

I'm a Vyta Du Roc fan too but as much as I'd like to I can't post a Welsh National runner on a will win thread considering in 30 years I've backed one winner of the race and even that wasn't run at Chepstow.

I have similar sentiments towards Poker School but again it's not exactly a will win, so however much I think Cue Card is the winner on Monday it looks like I'll be bottom feeding off the rest of the forum on this thread

I asked Santa to give me evens about Jenkins in the first at Kempton on Boxing Day

He said he doesn't do Boxing Days so hopefully someone on Betfair will :)

The big chase at Wetherby on Boxing Day has been good to me before.

The mare Actinpieces is a really interesting horse. She is an improved type, as was witnessed the last day over course & distance when whooping Zeroeshadesofgreys ass, (excuse the pun :) ). So I reckon Actinpieces is well treated on 131, having beaten the 140 rated horse 9 lengths. Actinpieces was getting weight from Zeroeshadesofgrey, but stayed on really well towards the finish. Having watched the video I reckon she'd be odds-on in a match bet to beat that same opponent off level weights. Still a novice, with a bit of natural progression, she should be bang there.

Damn he's forecast at 1/2 but he could win running backwards.....I will put the winnings on?

First outing of the season or not I was very disappointed with Yanworth and how long it took him to dispose of Littlerockerfeller plus Yorkill IMO totally destroyed him at Cheltenham

There are excuses one can use to defend the horse but I prefer to say it as it is with him not the way it could have been.

Ever since the year DOT I have said The New One will never win a Champion Hurdle but when it comes to trial round courses like Kempton he is dynamite.

In truth he is 8 for 8 when not facing Champion Hurdlers having only lost to Faugheen Annie Power and Jezki

With that record surely he should be favourite here? After All Yanworth has beaten absolutely nothing of note to date.

In the interest of the thread I must say

The New One WILL WIN:cool:

The New One has never won a Grade 1 Hurdle in open company. This is probably his best ever chance, but I wouldn't pay a two shiny coppers to find out, and I certainly wouldn't be napping him. Have you been on the egg-nog, pal?

I'll very likely take my chances with Skelton's horse. He hasn't done a lot wrong, and is a fair each-way price, imo.

Was on the horse **** last night Drinking Signha and reminiscing how Snowtown Boy nearly won the Schweppes LOL after promising myself I would keep it for Xmas eve party tonight.

5.49am here....woke up at 2.15am still pissed but hey.......I will be like a New One on a couple of hours

Amazinigly you are right about the grade 1 unless we count the Doom Bar? beat ROR out the park Grade 1 2m4f.

Same horses different Grade I mate, don't see Yanworth being the next Faugheen so it's Grade 1 by name only

I looked at Ch'Tibello and he looked impressive last time but my worry is he was beating a bunch of Rent- A-Crocks

Could be an improver though and cause a minor upset

Agree, although I wouldn't mind seeing The New One finally get his grade 1.
The each way angle on Ch'tibello hinges on at least five runners running, so I'm glad to report there's a few quid about for the outsider tonight, Gray Wolf River, 1000/1 into 250's in a place. Hopefully a starter. :)

I've looked at four races: three at Kempton and the RM at Wetherby.

I reckon the one I'd be most confident about winning is Frodon. 9/2 this evening.

(But if anything goes wrong with Thistlecrack and everything goes right with Cue Card, the latter could win by 20+ lengths.)

Look forward to reading your view on the Rowland Meyrick, DO. Hopefully you may concur with some of what I said about Actinpieces, I'll wait and see. ;)

You should have it already, Marble. Unfortunately I can't muster up any enthusiasm for Actinpieces :(

Mythical Madness did me a favour before xmas, and is fully expected to repeat the feat at Wolves on boxing day.

My apologies....should have had a "Grade 1 at 2 miles" caveat.

the only reason he won at Cheltenham was due to an inspired ride from dickie J. The reason he's not on him now is blood being thicker than NTD.

ps: do bear in mind that BG has actually chosen to come over and ride Yanworth

Chosen? JP more likely to have told him for y and af?

I fancy Blaklion in this but no will win
