Two beauties from tv today. First, Simon Mapletoft at Southwell. "Gelding was a revelation for this horse... " I bet it bloody was! (Simon, I think you meant the horse has been a revelation since being gelded.)

This evening, on River Monsters, when "extreme angler" Jeremy Wade got excited about the pacu, a river fish in Papau New Guinea which was thought to be responsible for biting male bathers' dangly bits. "This fish usually eats nuts that fall into the water... "
 
There once was a naughty pacu
Who was out on one of his trawls,
He said, "I'm bored by the nuts
And old fishes' guts,
But I like the look of those balls."

So he swam up to an innocent bather
And began to nibble his spheres,
But they tasted quite foul
And the bather did howl,
And was left tattered and torn, and in tears.
