Lovely stuff there at Fairyhouse: a fitting farewell for one of the more pleasant jockeys you could ever wish to meet.

Great to see him go out on a high. Was lucky enough to have a couple of beers with him in the Plough over the last few years in company of Mouse Morris. Really nice guy, down to earth. I think he could make a very very decent trainer. Has learned from some of the best including Arthur Moore so think he could be one of the few jockeys to become a top class trainer. He will certainly be given the ammunition

Great way for him to bow out, as others have said already very few bad words ever said about him. Think he has the makings of a very good trainer also.

I know little about him except his wonderful Cheltenham rides on Hardy and WOA, but wish him all the best
He comes across as a very genuine guy, and it was great to see all the jocks clapping out the last day at Cheltenham. Fantastic to end on a winner

He is a grand old age for a jump jockey. Carl Llewellyn aside, who now becomes the oldest NH jockey still riding full time?
