So as of the 25th of February 2026, Constitution Hill is a Flat Racer, who’d have thought that at before the Southwell Race.

I thought that it would be fun to predict what races he will do for this year

My Prediction (warning this is very unlikely the route):

G3 Henry II Stakes (Sandown)

G1 Ascot Gold Cup

G1 Irish St Legar

G1 Melbourne Cup

Should he win the Melbourne Cup

G1 Japan Cup

Sure I read somewhere Hendo mentioned G3 Henry II Stakes (Sandown) as being possible next

Constitution Hill to be Melbourne Cup eligible, he would need to win a listed flat race of 12f or further, place in a Group flat race of 12f or further, or win the Ebor Handicap at York in August, which guarantees a spot in the lineup. Former hurdler Ethical Diamond won the 2025 Ebor Handicap and Breeders' Cup Turf.

Game of opinions and my opinion is that would be a terrible campaign.

Henry II Stakes - I'll be there to see him get outstayed.

Gold Cup (it existed before any other Gold Cup you can think of, it's the original one and doesn't need the "Ascot" Prefix) - wouldn't stay 2m4f on the Flat in the proverbial and a Trawlerman would have him beat by Swinley Bottom.

Irish St Leger - It would have to be a terrible one. 1m6f would stretch his stamina and he's not a Group 1 Flat horse.

Melbourne Cup - Cracking chance of finishing last and breaking down if it's quick ground.

Japan Cup - He'd be tailed off, more chance of him landing a job as a sushi chef while he's over there.

Think Hamish/Al Aasy - that's his level.

John Porter, Aston Park, Glorious, Cumberland Lodge, St Simon - that sort of thing.

To be fair, I agree. Was not a serious prediction

John Porter would be a better pick

(Also the Ascot prefix is me being pedantic)

I think at the very least the end goal should be the Breeders Cup Turf in Keeneland

I vote this wins the Talking horses "the thread we didnt need award 2026".

Is the a way of putting a horses name on ignore?
