Could Sandown this weekend fall victim to the frost?

Well, could it?

I'm only going by the BBC weather bulletins but it's been looking pretty arctic down there.

They should switch it to Ayr or Musselburgh now. Don't envisage any problems up here and I can get there easily enough :)

No chance. The frost is clearing and even if it were frosty, they cover the course good and proper these days. I was there in 2012, when it was sub-Arctic that day but racing went ahead just fine.

The thought of Douvan running round Musselburgh, is the stuff of dreams......or possibly nightmares........not sure which!

But had it been sub-arctic for days leading up to the Saturday?

Are those covers that Cheltenham used a couple of years ago still being used? They covered the whole course I think?
