Yes, Tesco haven't had Coronation Chicken sandwiches as part of their Meal Deal for WEEKS now.

I'm surprised the story isn't headlining on all global news websites tbh.

They sell tubs of coronation chicken (sandwich fillers next to the cold meat).

Avail yourself and submit to the injustice of making a sandwich yourself!

FAO all forumites I haven't put on ignore - if you subsequently respond to, or otherwise engage with, anyone who has ever been abusive to, or about, you, you are basically condoning what they did and giving them permission to do it again in the future.

Here endeth the lesson.

(Where's that Walsworth when you need him?)

I put him on ignore for us all :ROFLMAO:

Let's not forget that Saint Davies started a thread with the specific ambition of being abusive towards another forumite (who had not been abusive to him), thus earning him the admonition from myself that he is crying about.

But if that's the sort of person you like then each to their own.

We used to do the shopping for our elderly neighbour and one of the things on her shopping list was coronation chicken. So I started making it and now have it on a regular basis with salad and a baked potato. Have to buy chicken for the dog anyway as she’ll only let us clip her claws if she gets a reward of chicken afterwards.

I might have known you'd have a talent for Coronation Chicken, Moehat!

I'm far too lazy for all that - I'm just going to bide my time and wait for it to return to the Meal Deal shelves!

A jar of Aldi's own brand Korma sauce mixed with some natural fat free yoghurt and there you have it. Just add chicken (preferably dead, plucked and cooked).

I think the reason why I remember "Abigail's Party" so vividly was that my late father was first generation middle class and he was obsessed with the sort of pretentious, nouveau rich, class nuances the play so hilariously covered.

My Dad was also obsessed with Jilly Cooper's book "Class" - parts of which he took literally! - and one of my most nice memories of being at the races was once meeting Jilly Cooper at Newbury and telling her about it to her great amusement.
