I think you could get 4/1 early doors so i expect Andy will have lumped on, couldn't bring myself to back it at 2/1, although looks a blooming good price now!

4/1 and 5/1 in some multiples, shouldv'e won last week when I was on at 11s and 10s been a nightmare trying to get bets on today after recent wins and probably for foreseeable future.

Your comments: Ayr Gold Cup - 20/1 365/Hills -This group 2 produced two massive eyecatchers in may and could well be two of the main contenders in the ay gold cup.Hawkeyethenoo looked unlucky in this race sitting behind but not getting the gap and could've had a group 2 to his name as it is has slightly disappointed since but a few excuses since trip ground and last time out at goodwood looked unlucky.Held up away from the pace was stopped in run several times and looked the second best horse in the race finis

Seems tio be relentlessly getting backed but some of these tracks are not suited to his running style one that is is ascot.Last season 5th in the Wokingham off 97,then followed that up with a 5th when running on the standside, nearest other stands side runner was 12th in that race behind taajub. His last previous run to that at ascot was august 2011 when beating medicean man off 95 this looks his track and hopefully the horse will be forgotten and some attractive prices in the bigger races.

Amulet

This may have been an ordinary handicap but this filly only racing off 72 was one of the most impressive handiocap winners I've see
n on this heavy ground, she made all the running and then quickened to hack up by 9ls looking value for a lot more.Normally I would put a linre through this wioth her mark now rocketing but she was so impressive and was backed up by the time comparatively very good compared to the rest of the card and she has loads more to come. Her new mark will be interesting especially if she runs again on this ground, visually she couldn't have been more impressive i'd hope she may not given a mark higher than 85 unlikely but even if she does she may prove herself to be far better than that mark. She looks one to keep onside and may yet turn out to be better than a handicapper especially on this sort of ground, very interesting runner for eve Johnston Houghton.:ninja:

Thought she'd be out pretty quick again rob probably be running several times before end of season.

Hartnell

Nice improver from jihnston stable the time was decent on the card .62 quicker than older handicapper hefner winning off 85 off 9-8 hartnell carrying 9-7 winning off 88 in the nurserty.Hartnells still really unexposed looks like will keep improving for the step up in trip the time of yesterdays race was only .65 slower than Kingston hill winning the racing post trophy today and hartnells form when runner up to pipers rock today also sluicing up in horris hill.Always worth noting these for following season especially johnstons that will improve with step up in trip, the to follows has quite a few on here that havn't run yet or likely to run so think i'll just keep adding the form for next season!!

Royal marskell,cocozza

Royal marskell and cocozza eyecatchers both trained by ken clutterbuck has very few winners and one of these may well be his next winner.Royal marskell was left 5ls in this race switched to race in what was the middle of the track and nearest finish, still lightly raced only 5 runs could well be overpriced on next runs with unfashionable trainer in the last few weeks of the season.Similarly cocozza ging away lots of ground but from the 1 draw being a bigger disadvantage, was under pressure for most of the race looked beat 3fs ouit and still stayed on to finish 4th.Cocozza won't be as much value as the other as was rated 103 in 2011 a horse that punters recognize and back but still might pick up a little race!!

I wouldn't go backing horses at short prices on heavy ground at catterick especially 2yr olds short prices leave them alone unless the conditions are identical to previous run.

Strange ride by George baker knowe head seemed to be travelling well in the race but was held up even though pretty keen, was coming back from a 4 month break but still looked a strange ride.Knowe head has now fallen to lowest mark since December 2011 on the aw,now off 67 previous 6 runs at the track were 4/2/2/2/1/2 off marks of 70 usually very consistent. He may not be a lot of value as invariably gets overbet but off this mark maybe worth backing with previous jockeys riding, baker had never ridden before.

Trainer: M Murphy
Jockey: M Dwyer
Form figures: 32
Age: 3

Past Form: Placed in both starts. Beaten a neck by Sky Garden when second of 7 at 10-3 on his latest outing at Catterick over 6f (good) in August. Having his first run for a new stable today, previously with G A Harker.
Your comments: Third on debut then second to sky garden at catterick on Wednesday, there was an older handicap on the card won by wild sauce rated 74 but only .08 slower the maiden than wild sauces race, discussiontofollow carried 8 pound more. The runner up may creep into handicaps off a reasonable mark winner sky garden only rated 64 so maybe worth a bet in handicap or may even get underestimated in one of these typically weak maidens.

Your comments: This may have been an ordinary handicap but this filly only racing off 72 was one of the most impressive handiocap winners I've see n on this heavy ground, she made all the running and then quickened to hack up by 9ls looking value for a lot more.Normally I would put a linre through this wioth her mark now rocketing but she was so impressive and was backed up by the time comparatively very good compared to the rest of the card and she has loads more to come. Her new mark will be interesting espe

Your comments: Shown very little this season although showed a bit more last time out over an inadequate trip over 5fs at Beverley and on ground to slow, outpaced 2fs out but then staying on again. That form looked very weak a second slower than the other division but lucky dan becomes more interesting when stepped up to 6fs on the turf and and on faster ground. He's now falling to near last years winning marks when he won back to back races off 63 and 70 I put him up last season at Carlisle because of his cheste

Barwick

Lightly raced barwick so obviously has problems getting right 5yr old only the 20 runs was tailed off yesterday at Yarmouth when most of the races they were well strung out.His two previous runs behind thouwra and first post and surrounding placed horses point to those formlines being rock solid, slipped to a nice mark of 75 after slipping a pound after those runs.Whether he will run again as previous seasons show he hasn't raced much beyond august/September but on those two previous bits of form where there's no track bias he'd be worth a bet.

Your comments: This was an eyecatching run by verse of love as was squeezed out giving an 8l start running on to be nearest finish, has not looked anywhere near the form of last season when winning off 83 at chester beating strictly silver and bannock. Also followed up this run with a 4th to mister music and boom and bust he looks in good form now and probably with a decent draw at chester or even switched to the aw looks on a winnable mark.

Trainer: J C Fox
Jockey: Matthew Lawson

Past Form: He has won three times at 6f including 2 wins on polytrack. Beaten 7l behind Gung Ho Jack at 12-1 when eighth of 11 on his latest outing at Kempton over 6f earlier this month.
Your comments: A difficult horse to win with but 2/11 on the aw probably ran its worst ever race at Kempton tonight but trainers out of form and jockey claiming 7 had never rode a winner.Last 3 runs previous to tonights run had won off 65 then been 3rd and 4th at Kempton off 69 and previous to those runs rarely ran a bad race at Kempton.Another 0 infront of it with this trainer should ensure some big prices and can run in even weaker races than tonight from better draw with better jock worth keeping an eye out

Thanks for replys spent some time this afternoon looking through last couple of weeks results will put a few on here although i'm sure I've missed plenty more interesting ones.

gabrials gift

Gabrials gift sluiced up in this claimer has looked exposed but the time of this race 1m11.60 and the ease of the win suggests that a mark of 75 looks generous at least over this c/d.Already two class 4 handicaps run over the c/d on Wednesday the times of the winners 1m11.68 and 1m11.99 winners off 77 and 81 gabrials gift looked far superior to those performances and looks worth following at least over this c/d and could well be underestimated if the times are a good guide.Looking at that time it would be hard to estimate how much more there is to come.

pivotal silence,gabrial the duke

Reasonable time for the trip at lingfield on the aw and both horses have been disappointing switched to the turf both been beaten at short prices on a few runs. They now become more interesting and should be a bit of value back on the aw and underestimated and still ope to improvement on the surface off marks around 70.

al thakhira

Although obvious the way this filly quickened on soft ground on debut was big eyecatcher there looks loads of improvemet to come and the time compared favourably to the maiden won by gravitational rated 80.The fillies maiden only .74 slower she looks listed class already to me on this run and with so many very weak races around at that level I think she will be value during the autumn in something a bit better.

Jamaican bolt

Got turned over again on Wednesday but again the ground turned against him drying over the 2 days I think was left in just to get a run.He never travelled in the race and think this was still a decent run running on to be nearest finish on ground to fast free zone was rated 105 last season and jiroft had run well at Epsom off 102 behind duke of Firenze yet was only off 92 in this race. This form could be far better than it first appears, jamaican bolts still only had the 12 lifetime runs and although never gets underestimated in the betting is probably worth following blind now the autumn and ground has arrived..

Brownsville

This looked quite an interesting maiden with angel flores running second on debut to expect in a decent time on the poly, she's already on to follows and pretty sure she will looked well handicapped maybe over the winter on switch to the aw.Also interesting was the seemingly exposed Brownsville a nose behind her in 3rd,the time of this race was eyecatching .31 quicker than fat gary winning off 78 in following older handicap and carrying 9-4 a pound less than Brownsville rated 67 in 2yr old maiden. The maiden was also .58 quicker than the second div won by just for a tonic,if the times are taken at facevalue which looking at angel flores debut time at wolves they would make Brownsville look extremely well handicapped.Out of Bernstein good aw sire with high strike rate and horses that have previously run on turf showing big improvement when switched to the aw he could be one Johnston will be campaigning of a very nice looking mark!!!

Trainer: Rae Guest
Jockey: C Catlin
Form figures: 1141
Age: 2
Country: IRE
Past Form: Foaled 28 Mar. She has won three times from 6f to 7f on soft ground and on the all-weather. A winner at 15-2 at Yarmouth over 6f (soft) on her latest outing last month, beating Berrahri by 5l. Has won 3 times this season.
Your comments: A poor looking handicap but the winner looked different class hacking up and being pulled up by catlin 1/2 furlong out,the time of the race .11 quicker than the following older handicap.Very rarely do the 2yr old handicappers get near 80 rated older horses especially one rated 68 and winning with a lot in hand, chooseday rated 84.Even if you took the second as the marker you'd have cape factor on a mark of 80 off level weights. The new mark will be interesting as on this run on this sort of ground

Trainer: J Noseda
Jockey: James Doyle
Form figures: 21
Age: 2
Country: GB
Past Form: Foaled 13 Mar. Dam won at 1m 1f. Won on her latest outing when evens fav at Wolverhampton over 6f last month, beating Angel Flores by 2 1/2l.
Your comments: Very rare to see a 2yr old maiden run faster than older handicappers especially class 4 but this maiden was .14 quicker than shafaani winning off 85 in the earlier handicap. It looks unlikely expect will run again this season was runner up to al thakhira another I've out on here on debut at Yarmouth she looked listed class. The fahey horse maybe most likely to run and could be a nice aw horse to follow wuith that time on the clock only debut run and lots of improvement to come.

Trainer: M Botti
Jockey: R L Moore
Form figures: 11
Age: 2

Past Form: 5-1 (8-12) Close up, smooth headway over 1f out, shaken up to lead entering final furlong, forged clear, impresssive, won at Newmarket 7f 2yo fll Grp 2 (1) gs in Oct beating Blockade (8-12) by 3 1/2l, 8 ran
Your comments: Although obvious the way this filly quickened on soft ground on debut was big eyecatcher there looks loads of improvemet to come and the time compared favourably to the maiden won by gravitational rated 80.The fillies maiden only .74 slower she looks listed class already to me on this run and with so many very weak races around at that level I think she will be value during the autumn in something a bit better.

Past Form: Foaled 9 Apr. A winner at 6f. Finished 3 1/2l behind Got To Dance when fifth of 17 at 5-1fav on her latest outing at Leicester over 6f (good) in September.
Your comments: A decent time at Leicester for this nursery and at the sort of ratings where there could still be some value all below 75,the winner came from last to first and although put up 5 pound could stil be very well handicapped as looked far superior to these. The 2yr old conditions race later on the card .21 slower won by stars above me rated 86 and only carrying 8-2 as opposed to the earlier handicappers.Been avoiding these nurserys as they looked so weak but this one looks following based on that tim

Past Form: Foaled 5 Apr. Won on his latest outing when 1-3fav here over 1m 1f in September, beating Byron Gala by 12l.
Your comments: A really interesting runner especially from an aw angle winning this by 12ls but was probably good for 30ls and the time of the race only .01 slower than duke of saville rated 84 in the 3yr old maiden. The pace was only fair but the time looked good for ease of the win has been only given a mark of 80 and on this surface could be well handicapped.

Trainer: A Bailey
Jockey: L P Keniry
Form figures: 577221
Age: 3
Country: GB
Past Form: Successful at 5f and 1m 1f including a win on polytrack. Won on her latest outing when 9-4fav over this course and distance last month, beating My Claire by a neck.
Your comments: An absolutely abysmal race but the winner had only 11 lifetime runs, the runner up also only had the 10 runs and the time was over 2 seconds quicker than the following div won by tatting. The track was supposedly standard which it certainly wasn't was on the slow side so the time looked ok and although the form couldn't be much weaker the winner and runner up could be worth following fior a couple of runs in same grade.
