David Cameron

Nothing I hate more than people bashing racing than people not caring about the country and shrugging their shoulders saying "nothing I can do" - luckily there is (and here endeth my contribution!)

Interesting to see the 3 main party leaders on the Andrew Marr show in the last month or so. Cameron was told to stop answering questions without speaking about Labour and tell us what he/the tories would do. He couldn't.

These televised debates sound interesting. Does anyone have any concrete info on them?

anyone see Mo last night? Beuatifully played drama. Moving and funny. best single drama ive seen on TV in many yeras. Julie walters (and the hubby) were superb.

The ulster politicians (esp Adams) and Mandleson wouldnt have enjoyed though

Just reminded today that there is one overriding reason why not one sane person could possibly vote Labour in the next election...

We would be one heartbeat away from the dimmest and most inept policitian in British living memory becoming leader of the country

Why ? has Nick Clegg become deputy ?

I have no opinion on Clegg because ive barely noticed him. which says it all really

The only good thing about Harperson becoming leader would be an immediate stop to immigration. No one would want to come. The problem would be finding the last person to turn the lights out when the whole population seeks refuge in overseas embassies or tries to swim the channel

And what is Brown interchangable with Euro? A dysfunctional paranoid control freak? Harperson would be interchangable with a bollard maybe> although the bollard would possibly object on the grounds that it has greater brainpower

In all seriousness there doesnt appear to be a potential leader on either side. No one that stands out and thats largely because most of them have simply been nothing but politicians or "advisors" since the word go

Except Vincent

I'd agree with you here. There just seems to be no one with any personality anymore. If a younger Ken Clarke or even Heseltine was the alternative I wouldn't be so bothered. At least those two stood out from the crowd and had opinions/policies you knew about.

Yeah,I have to agree with that comment Euro. Apart from the leaders, who most people could name due to their disappointed efforts, how many could name any of the Labour or Tory cabinet/shadow cabinet??

For the record,I think the UKIP will do well at the next election. It will be seen as many as a viable alternative to the 3 main parties.

One fine day
In the middle of the night
Two dead men got up to fight
Back to back they faced each other
Drew their swords
And shot each other.

Backwards we march, with our heads in the sand?
It came from a radio programme of yore called "I'm Sorry, I'll Read That Again" The first line was "We are the boys of the OBE"
I may be wrong there, it may be "We are the boys of the MCC"
