Davy Russell

He passed our house at 7.15 am in a little hire car on Wed window down ciggie lighting on his way to exercise at Cheltenham.
Little did he know what was in store for him.
After Ted Veale falling, Mozoltov being brought down, Benefficient disappointing, not getting other Giggi rides after B Cooper injury the future was bleak.
Then the fog lifted !
 
That is indeed powerful stuff. I found it hard watching him talk about his injury at the time.
 
A nice steady crowd came to see Davy who was on his best behaviour meeting his public.
Shop manager and publisher were delighted that christmas came early for them.
My wife, a fan of his ,has hardly put the book down since, peppering me with questions about various folk Davy encountered along the way.
Good job she didn't marry me for my money.
