A day of two halves most certainly. Well up for the day but could have been so much better. Had a Trixie on Buveur D'Air, Apples Jade & Beware The Bear. The last never went a yard unfortunately.

Great. You find a 16/1 winner and still end up down.

I've had better starts to Cheltenham and I've had worse.

Plenty of very good runs for my money and optimistic about the rest of the week.

Worst festival day for several years. Compounded by the fact I went put my £20 refund off Skybet on Buveur but changed my mind to Yanworth. Doh! Especially as I'd put him as a horse to oppose in the other thread. Also got tempted in by Betfred going 4/1 about Ballyandy. Was that a shockingly inept ride or is that just pocket talk?

Pleased overall. Singlefarmpayment was a bit of a choker and my staking with Yanworth and Buveur D'Air was slanted heavily in the former's camp but I always prioritise the horses I'm really well in on ante-post so no complaints. Apple's Jade was a big buzz - best race of the day and I thought she was going to be done up the hill. Nicely up on the day.
 
Had place money on Ordinary World and Arpege, win on Apples Jade - about even overall. Bring on day 2!

Thought I had a shocking day, lost on every bet possible I've done today.
Check my Skybet account and I did a Buv, Apples Jade, Might Bite, Douvan 4timer. Will put me in profit for the full week of it comes off, even if everything else lost. Gambling intoxicated COULD pay off. Here's hoping anyway.
