I'm sorry but Deep Impact was no 135 horse, the horses he was beating in Japan are a long way below the likes of recent horses out there. Regardless of whether he needed a prep, he got disqualified for a banned substance anyway in the Arc so it's a pointless debate! I thought we were discussing his credentials at stud, which he has had a fantastic start at.
I'm pretty sure Warbler would be offended you were claiming credit for Rail Link for putting him up when the PMU prices showed up Steve given he put him up in July!! Anyone at Longchamp that day would have put him up along with the other six runners bar Deep Impact, there will never be a betting opportunity like it again.

I was there and there was no day like it. I also happened to meet probably the only Japanese person in Paris that day who had never heard of Deep Impact! The pari mutuel personnel trying to intice the Japanese to try exotic bets to no avail. It was fantastic.
Black Caviar day at Ascot nan Newmarket will hopefully be similar.
