Derby bound fillies

I heard a rumour that Coolmore were going to supplement a filly for Epsom, but this move makes more sense.

Jim gung ho to run his filly in Irish Derby.
If he thought she would act at Epsom he would supplement there also given he bred the filly, her sire and dam and dam of sire and has exclusive breeding rights to the jockey as well !

Pleascach has been supplemented for the Irish Derby at a cost of 12,500 euro.

Courtesy of Kevin Blake's blog on the ATR site:

Throughout the 149-year history of the Irish Derby, 10 fillies have won it, but that doesn’t tell the full story.Seven of those winners came before the Irish Oaks came into existence in 1895 and one of them came before the distance of the Irish Oaks was extended from a mile to a mile-and-a-half in 1915.
Thus, the only two fillies that have won the Irish Derby in a truly equivalent situation have been Salsabil in 1990 and Balanchine in 1994. It is also worth noting that no filly in history has ever successfully completed the Irish 1000 Guineas/Irish Derby double or the Irish Derby/Irish Oaks double.
