A double-header wraps up this series of 'Desperate Housewives' tonight at 10 pm on Ch.4, so don't miss it and say you didn't know it was on!

It's not back until EARLY NEXT YEAR!! I might not live that long! How can they torture us? Okay, here's my best guesses for the follow-up:

1) Zak won't shoot Mike (although if I were Mike, I'd shoot the clingy and dimwitted Susan)...

2) Bree gets much, much warmer to George, the Love-crazed Pharmacist, but then finds out about his Awful Secret of the Switched Pills which killed off Rex. What kind of retribution will the human iceberg think up?

3) Newcomers Betty and Matthew Applewhite are hiding something in their new house - but what? No doubt Edie won't be able to resist some prying. Is it a gigantic four-room reflux still making moonshine? A mini-coke factory? A mutant child?

4) Lynette starts back at her old ad agency, while Tom finds 'friendship' at the 'mothers 'n' tots' club. House-father, my arse.

5) Paul somehow gets back from being dumped in the desert, to his 'son' Zak/Dana, whose real mother's been killed by the woman he thought was his mother, and who's going to find out that Mike (who's just entered the house where Zak lies in wait to kill him) is his real Dad, and not Paul...

... which brings me back to 1) and off we go!

Fantastic first series there. I loved every minute. Why oh why can the UK not produce TV of that quality??

Yeah its very good, love the dark side of the programme. US is doing some great stuff right now, LOST, Desperate Housewives, The OC, West Wing etc

The finale of Desperate Housewives was very good, enjoyed it very much. I can't believe it's not back until next year!!!

Even worse though, it's the last in the series of ER next week - however will I cope without my weekly dose of Noah Wyle???!!!!

I just don't know what I'm going to watch after this week, no more Desperate Housewives and no more ER. Although I do have the ER season 1 videos to start watching my way through.

Brian, I am sure you could name many quality dramas from the UK but how many are recent? America is producing better drama at the moment.

Apart from Desperate Housewives and possibly Nip Tuck, what else?
(There is currently no West Wing nor the outstanding Sopranos.

I'll start with Shameless

Brie/Bree - cheese. Goddit! But Brie is actually a pale, soft, cheese, An, within what looks like a firm outer crust, and is what some describe as 'nutty' - so, much like Bree hereself.

an capall, it's just her obsessive washing, ironing and cleaning that attracts you and you wouldn't want George dispensing your tablets...
