Did One Of You Win?

Congratulations Maurice. Will that money change your life at all or will you be just the same as before?

It'll go towards next year's venture to Newbury... as long as there hasn't been fire, pestilence, or famine beforehand!

I reckon it will be some time before I come anywhere near London.

I might check out the prospects of a day or two at the York Ebor meeting instead.

I happened to see the Irish Daily Mirror today and they have discovered that our lottery heroine has a nephew in jail for a gangland murder-a vicious one at that.Apparently she is in fear of one of the Limerick gangs-anyone in Ireland who has followed the situation over the last year will know its fairly hairy stuff.
She is "in hiding"-presumably in a 5 star hotel until the national lottery office reopens on tuesday.
Thats how her life has changed in 2 days -redtop interest and not being able to live in her own house.

You mean £77,000,000 doesn't buy you a posse that could take out the offending gang? Hell's teeth - just how much does an efficient hitman cost these days?

Money does corrupt its true . When i became a barrister and earned lots more than in my previous job this woman from Somerset persuaded me to invest in a share of one of her horses ! Then i met lots of reprobates from this forum .

Duly corrupted.

I heard that a guy interviewed this winner and he ask her.......

What about the begging letters??? and she replied.... oh I'LL keep sending them!!! be jesus!!! I'll not be dettered....... :P

Go on, AC: why? We've only just finished with the IRA's explosive delights, and are just sampling those of slightly-deranged Jihadis, so tell us Engleezi about these Limerick lads' reign of terror. What are they - political or just crims?
