DownRoyal Upcoming

3m on decent ground will show Valseur Lido to good effect, and 4/1 seems a fair price.

Don Poli has a touch of the Notre Pere's about him - would be better off in the Welsh National.

elliott already downplaying CH hopes and suggesting she wants a trip instead.

after the fact i know but i nearly crashed the car when the ffp lads suggested she'd be favoured over faugheen in the morgiana. think everyone got carried away by what happened at aintree. was never on my antepost radar for the CH.

I do believe you said that she would have kicked Our Conor's arse, and would continue to put-up 160+ performances.

I just wished you'd said you meant ounces rather than pounds. ;)

No sweat, by the way. We all get them horribly wrong every now and then.

you may believe anything but as far as I'm concerned Rashaan was a stone lower on last season form than AJ, so I don't see how he improved on her, most likely she regressed so as I said on their Juvenile form AJ would kick OC ass, especially on that Aintree run. Now, I did say that she will continue to put up 160+ performances IF against quality horses but that was in response to what OC achieved in open company which wasn't much as well. She continues the series of leading juveniles that disappoint the next season, but we'll see if she can improve on today and up against the better ones we'll see to what figures she runs to. The season just started, hold your horses.

Given your username, I wonder if you thought his dominance of the Flat code boring?

There's always the County Hurdle for those who obsess about 'competitiveness'. ;)

Will cement his place as Comfortably the 2nd best hurdler the stable has ever had

You should tell that to Mullins, in an interview with Tracy Piggott he wondered if there has been any horse like Faugheen and with all his racing knowledge and he said he also asked around they couldn't find one that went from winning a point to point to winning the CH. That is about as unlikely as it gets. Best horse in training by far, could've gone be a plodder over the GC trip and probably would've already solved Mullins problem of not having won it. Instead, his turn of foot displayed at P'town as a novice made it clear his game was for speedy events. As for playing 2nd to any horse, you won't see that reflected in the markets at the off, probably until he's 12yo or older.
