Sols, If you are serious about the sojourns to see your namesake running, portable satnav systems have become relatively cheap. Make sure you get one with voice though, so you can spend less time looking for the turnoffs, and just listen out for them instead.
 
Jon, I think you can pick up models in the £100 - £200 range. Not that cheap I know, but a hell of a lot less than around 12 months ago.

I think I'd want better than that for my monies worth. Speaking of Jordan, one of the lads in the pub had a couple of "interesting" vid clips of her on his phone at the weekend. :ph34r:
