I backed Duramente, but I'd say the best horse won the race. I thought Posponed was extremely impressive. I suspect Duramente needs a stronger pace than that to be seen at his best.
 
Not my day today. **** poor at Haydock and knew my fate here before the start. Didn't help that Duramente seemed to run a rather erratic course but I don't think he'd have won anyway
Just hearing they didn't manage to replate him so ran shoeless

They've just said that Duramente was too fractious and they couldn't re-shoe him. Ran without one, which would definitely make a difference. Ran with real credit given the facts.

they clearly stated it before the race though..i was watching on betfair video..which didn't actually show the race for some reason..but you heard the pre race announcement re shoe....whenever i know a horse i am backing is one shoe missing..i back the obvious danger or try and lay off

as soon as i heard that..i doubled stake on Postponed..which weren't a lot ...anyone backing duraamente had plenty of chance to correct their wager..horses rarely win with a shoe missing

there was nothing lucky about backing Postponed as Euro stated..in fact leaving your stake on Duramente after hearing that was a bit silly imo

ffs Euro...it were a gift

why they run em with a shoe missing is beyond me ....must cost a good few lengths..its basically saying..horse number X is giving the others a 10 lengths start
