Got a little outpaced on his debut over seven furlongs ( soft ) at Newmarket in late October, when finishing sixth of nine a shade under six lengths behind the Simon & Ed Crisford trained Treble Tee, but bettered that run three weeks later at Lingfield over a mile – finishing a respectable fourth around three lengths behind Godolphin’s Present Times, it was also reported later that the colt lost his right hind shoe. A 150k euro purchase from the Arqana sales a couple of years back, Due West looks a surefire winner in maiden / novice company before hopefully moving on the something better, and particularly when faced with a stiffer test of stamina.
