California Chrome reportedly shipping to the UK for a crack at Royal Ascot taking in the Lockinge on the way. The horse will be based at Rae Guest's Newmarket yard for the duration.

I get the feeling the trainer, Art Sherman is not overhappy about this move - whilst he had been courted by Ascot to bring the horse over, this sudden move to bring him over straight from Dubai doesn't seem to fit well with him. He reckons the horse has had a very hard race in the DWC.

He's a bleeder and he's been running on Lasix in the States Reet. Hence the improvement and I suspect his price reflects that they can't use it here. I've taken a chance on him anyway but I've also backed Flintshire. If they both run to form it should be between the two of them.
