e-Readers

Ugh, the thought of using a Kindle or similar. Not the same!! You need to feel the pages, be able to flick through them!

Never thought of you as a Luddite, SL.;)

The Kindle isn't the perfect reading experience by any means but has its uses.

You've run out of books to read, shops are closed or you can't get to them switch on your Kindle and within in a minute you have something to read. The convenience of carrying a Kindle instead of half a dozen books has already been mentioned. And sometimes a book you want to read is out of stock but the Kindle version is available.

Given a choice I would go for the new book experience every time but having a Kindle is a useful addition for a reader.

I don't think books will disappear any time soon but I think there is room for both the book and the e-reader in any home.

Ohhhh, no, Colin! I'm not only a luddite, I'm square as well, wouldn't be at all interested in a fashionable clutch or most other fashionable handbags! If I can get away with it, I'll put everything I need in my jacket pockets.....bags only come in when needed and are often small rucksack type bags anyway!

So apologies, you still can't win me over with a Kindle. I know I've said that about other things but I can't see me ever owning or wanting to own one. I love to flick through the pages of a book!
