Not enough of a test? The Juddmonte roll of honour is full of 12f animals. It's an extended 10f with a long straight. Much prefer TGG over Time Test on decent ground for this.

Be fair to the winner; he did it well and is still unbeaten.
The placed horses finished more or less where they should form wise.
We have not seen the best of the first two yet imo so do not be too quick to write them off.
The two best three year old colts are unbeaten this season and Minding is a top top filly , all have different connections so things are not so glum.

Maybe 3 winners in the past 15 years, Euro, and not nearly as many as the Irish Champion. It's usually run on summer ground, too, whereas the remaining 2 normally aren't.

Maybe, but it's been a strange few years with an outlier like Frankel and some very ropey renewals with either no 12f horses present (DofW) or terrible races (Twice Over.)

I would always favour a 12f horse over a miler in the Juddmonte.

Al Kazeem was present in DOW's win who had a good bit of 12f form but I think the way he tailed off that season was down to his fast ground Grp 1 hattrick taking a lot out of him.
