No thread for it pre race but no matter
Superb race best one since So You Think v Workforce. Ullyses has been a revelation this season, i had him down as a bit of a boat last season and even after his win at Sandown I wasn't totally convinced but although he clearly needs a good pace to aim at it was a fine sight to see him come there hacking down the outside, What about a combo facing off in the judmontte of Almanzor, Barney Roy and Ullyses??

How close Cliffs Of Moher would have gotten without that serious interference we'll never know but the two at the finish pulled seriously clear of the 3rd to leave us in no doubt which classic form is holding up better at the moment.

the first battle of the 3yos against the older horses, and no thread for it, shocking. never heard of the horse until yesterday, but its 3rd at ascot behind highland reel,
definitely put it on the group 1 map.

Great race but what P Beggy was doing was another thing.
Henry Cecil never liked the race for 3 yo's, especially after Wollow and Reference point were beaten in it but said it was just too tough a race for most of them at that stage of their season.

Almanzor looking unlikely for York so a potential 3 way clash could feasibly only happen at Leopardstown given the unlikely prospect of quick ground on champions day - the Hannons are mentioning the Arc for Barney which would seem a big ask.
